WHAT WE DO

Distance-Support

Divider

Distance-Support is an act of solidarity, the foundation of a relationship between two people, two worlds, two cultures; it is a direct, effective instrument which can enable us to restore the rights of children living in poor countries.

Support is not limited to financial assistance, it invests in the children as future adults, educating them with principles of reciprocation as the basis of effective cooperation, to encourage the development of a sound social fabric of children and families whose new awareness, knowledge and competence will trickle down to affect their communities and will ultimately make a difference for the future of society. In this way, Distance support contributes to improving the socio-economic reality of these Communities.

International cooperation

Divider

Caritas Children also promotes other projects of International Cooperation. These are complementary to Distance Support projects and increase their social impact. They arise from the Missions’ specific requests (such as the building of schools, food, sanitary support, etc.) as they move towards creating communities that are increasingly autonomous, main actors in their development, and architects of their own destiny.

Projects in schools

In order to sensitize students about the realities of childhood in different parts of the world we have adopted strategies to stimulate their curiosity, broaden their knowledge, and make them aware that openness towards others can lead to contact and exchange between the cultures of Parma and the missions.
